Application of vertical-axis wind turbines for environmet-riendly high-rise buildings power supply

Abstract
The climate changes and depletion of natural resources within the recent decades have given a rise to an interest in sustainable power supply development, wind and solar energy in particular. According to IEA forecasts, the share of the wind power in global power production will have risen from 7% in 2022 to 15% in 2030. Despite the preveilance of the fossil fuels, the use of the wind power in architecture is important for the carbon emission reduction.
Integration of the wind power plants requires an analysis of wind conditions, design, and compliance with the norms. The vertical-axis wind turbines applicable for use in the urban environment are efficient at the low wind speed, they require minimum maintenance and are capable of supplying power to the residential houses. The researches demonstrate that the vertical-axis turbines are more appropriate for installation at the top storeys of the buildings where they are resistant to changes of wind directions and are safe to operate.
Contemporary wind power technologies are of big importance in creating environment-friendly and energy-efficient buildings by promoting the saving of resources and reduction of greenhouse gases emission. this article dwells upon the integration of low-power wind plants into the architecture of the high-rise buildings.

Ecological Safety of Construction in Single-Industry Town

Abstract
Ensuring environmental safety during construction works is an important condition for the sustainable development of single-industry towns. The high rate of urbanization, population growth of single-industry towns and their active construction leads to negative anthropogenic changes in the en-vironment, which negatively affects both the ecology and the life of the population of a single-industry town. In this article the basic factors of the influence of the sphere of construction on the environment are considered, the aspects of providing ecological safety during construction are investigated, the normative-legal base regulating these aspects during construction works is analyzed, and also possible approaches and measures to decrease the negative influence of construction on the environment in monotowns are given.
The article proposes measures to reduce the negative impact on the environment and improve envi-ronmental safety of construction in single-industry towns, such as complementing the existing legisla-tion with stricter standards and requirements to ensure environmental safety during construction work in single-industry towns, development and active implementation of modern environmental materials and technologies, strengthening environmental control mechanisms of the construction sphere in sin-gle-industry towns and raising awareness of business and population. The article was prepared based on the results of research carried out at the expense of budgetary funds under the state assignment of the Financial University.

ORGANIZATIONAL AND ECONOMIC PROBLEMS OF ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETY IN CONSTRUCTION

Abstract
To date, to identify, analyze and account the direct and indirect effects of environmental impact during the planning of design solutions for the construction of facilities, it is necessary to carry out an environmental impact assessment. The results of this assessment determine the consequences of the implementation of a particular construction project, i.e. changes that can occur in the environment, including in the lives of people, potentially possible after the implementation of construction. The results of this assessment are objective information about the future state of the environment of the territory to decide on the implementation of the planned project. The economic component of this assessment is to determine the cost of implementation of measures to protect the environment of the territory.
